This piece is one that means a lot to me because I grew up in Newport, OR. The name that I chose for this piece “Crashing Seas at Cape Foulweather” which speaks to the historical name for the Yaquina Head lighthouse. This lighthouse is seen from most of the beaches around Newport and makes a great focal point for many paintings and photos. The style used in this piece is realism/photorealism.
